Tulips
are my favourite flower, both real and pixelated.
Lately, I’ve been making more textile art, and less patterns. I still sketch ideas to add to the library of stitched symbols, but perhaps due to a little creative burnout, I’ve been drawn to incorporating the motifs into larger scale textile pieces.
Scrap Aida cloth is a good place to start for a scrap quilt. The small left over pieces from cutting squares can become a row of windows, or a climbing plant, etc.
Next workshop in Montréal, QC: Mixed Media Cross Stitch
Friday May 24th from 6-9pm and Sunday May 26th from 11-2pm
A relaxing time rooting through bits of scrap fabric and trimmings & learning the basics of cross stitch to start telling your own stories :^)
